MAJOR LOVE AFFAIR HAPPENING NOW. TOKYO FASHION WEEK 09

So. I must admit.  I am loving a few designers from Japan this season for the Japanese Fashion Week.  Every single Item that I’ve picked out is and always have been my favorite type of styling.  I did dress like this in highschool and have a certain kind of love for  the mix matched – color blind..  And this year seemed to be the way to go on the runway.  Bold prints and a play on Color & Fabrics that have no boundaries like we do in the States. The japanese are always ahead of the game. Case in point… Yohji Yamamoto.  I am excited to see what Everlasting Sprout does this season. I adore that line!!

LADY IN NEXT TO NOTHING: LADY GAGA SPREADS LIKE A VIRUS.

 If you are not aware of the girl known as LADY GAGA- you are not living on this planet. Everywhere you go.  You hear a song in the back ground. At the grocery store. The bank. The club. Might as well play it in the Library. It’s everywhere else.. Lady Gaga reigns from New York. And has a taste for fashion. Of course some of these fashions are not all her idea like she would like you to believe. Which is unfortunate. Since her whole persona is taking fashion and intermixing this in the music business.

The photo shown is from the Hussein Chalayan show. Followed by a Gaga outfit for her concert. A little too close for comfort..

Still despite her ability to fool the latter. She doesn’t fool me when it  comes to her Designs.. They are a blatant rip off.

 There are a lot of Gaga fans out there. And, I am still impressed by her ability to throw herself out there in next to nothing. If she doesn’t start coming up with her own designs. She will have nothing. Copying  major fashion fixtures i;e. Margiela, Chalayan, Owens.  Just may get her into trouble. So. One must wonder. How many of those outfits are actually designer or designer rip offs? (hands over mic) GAGA?

WITHOUT MARGIELA, THERE IS NO FASHION.. OR BLOG- MY BLOG.

After reading various reviews on different sites regarding the lack Of “Margiela” in this new Fall RTW 2009 collection.  Margiela has always left people sick of joy when they leave His shows. This show had a few high lites and some lows. Usually I love every single piece shown. This show was a change.  Left me wondering. Was Margiela playing with the masses? Was he playing with them with this Retirement thing? What will they say if  “I”  retire for real? Either way the show whores and buyers were not particularly impressed with this show. I for one LOooooooved the green leather jacket. Loved it. Love green leather- anything.

 But. Really. What is happening??  Someone please tell me!  If you know me. You know that I just dont dream Margiela- I perspire  Margiela!

A TRUE FOLK FAIRY TALE AT THE HOUSE OF GALLIANO RTW FALL 2009

Ive always said that even though I am male- This will not stop me from wearing a Galliano gown to my wedding.  He is able to capture this romantic Fairy tale from another mans land. His work is impeccable and wearable 100 percent. I remember I had this Galliano skirt that was so intricate- I  had no idea how it was to be worn. I could not figure it out for the life of me. Luckily for me it was a show piece and not actually going to be worn by myself. Back to the Fall RTW 2009 show…. I have decided that with this show I was going to show why every woman should consider going Galliano with their wedding dress/gown. So I have pulled the most romantic of pieces- My favorites.. My dream.  This day is supposed to be special in every way and with one of John’s pieces, you are getting more than a dress. You are getting a dream. Your very own dream. Master at work for sure.
