LONDON ON FIRE: HUSSEIN CHALAYAN EXHIBIT TO OPEN

The London museum for design will for the first time host a complex and intriguing design by Hussein Chalayan.

Amongst the creations by this fashion designer, which will be shown at “Airborne”, is a dress that is made from Swarovski crystals and more than 15,000 LED elements. There will also be pieces from the Afterwards collection for spring/summer 2000 there, in which furniture was transformed into clothing.

Chalayan’s first exhibition in Britain will last from January 21 to April 17 2009, reports Vogue.
